Opportunity...

This past Friday I met with the Franklin Police Department, the Mayor of Franklin and with other City officials to hear a report by Marianne Shroerer concerning the 21st Drug Court. It was a fantastic morning celebrating an initiative that strikes at the heart of our swamped jail systems. We incarcerate so many that truly need rehabilitation and recovery programs... not cells! The 21st Drug Court is to be commended for their courage and faithfulness to work with the police who are often overwhelmed by drug addicts committing crimes out of their desperation to feed their habit... What if we could see addicts recovered and true criminals prosecuted? Please pray about joining the good folks at the 21st Drug Court... they are a 'not for profit' that relies on the benevolence of the people in the Counties and Cities they serve...

Also, a reminder that the folks at Against The Grain will start the process of compiling names and ages of the inmates children that will not have their parent home for Christmas. To qualify the inmate has to have been involved in the The 180 Program for at least 8 weeks and they will not be released in time for Christmas. If you would like to purchase a small Christmas for a child please send an email to Rob or Meredith at info@atghope.org
