Another Path of Jesus

Richard and Katherine Twiss are Native North Americans, the force behind Wiconi International and the Missio Dei gatherings. Richard’s book, One Church Many Tribes: Following Jesus the Way God Made You, has had a great impact on me. His story opened my eyes to the persecution of Native people that is still going on and in some cases escalating. He and Charles Robinson, along with musicians Bill Miller and Jonathan Maracle (with his band Broken Walls), keep the plight of the First Nations peoples in front of the Church. So many Christians aren’t aware of the needs and lack of opportunities that force Native people to suffer. The Red Road is the phrase these brothers use to describe the Native way, to reclaim the heritage of the host nations in North America. Prayers and love today for his precious family.

Take a minute to read this article from Christianity Today  and pray for the family and many loved ones who are saying goodbye to Richard Twiss the movement leader for NA people who went to be with Jesus. He was an amazing voice for Christ as he taught us so well the deep need for the Church to always contextualize the Scriptures and the Christian Gospel. Charles Robinson and The Red Road ministry will begin to pick up the pieces of the loss of RT and move forward as a spokesperson for this great movement of God...

Lord have mercy! And Lord bless the Twiss family.
